Privacy Policy

At VY Digital Lab, we believe privacy is a fundamental right. iResumeMeet has been designed and developed in strict compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Identification, Activity, and Purchase Data
In accordance with the GDPR's principle of data minimization, we store only what is necessary to operate your account. This includes your email address or authentication ID, and the date of your last AI processing activity (transcribing or translating a meeting) — used exclusively to keep your minutes balance available if you switch devices and to apply our 12-month inactivity policy described in our Terms and Conditions. When you purchase a minutes package, we also keep a record of the plan purchased, the number of minutes acquired, and the purchase date, linked to your device and/or account identifier. This record is necessary to correctly credit your balance and for accounting and customer support purposes, and may be retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting regulations even if you later request deletion of your account. To prevent abuse of our one-time free trial allowance, we also keep a non-identifying technical signal — a one-way cryptographic hash of your device and/or account identifier, which cannot be reversed to reveal either — indicating that a free trial has already been claimed. This signal contains no personal information by itself and is retained even after account deletion, solely to recognize a device or account that has already received the free allowance.
2. Completely Private Recordings with No Cloud Backups
Your meetings belong to you. The recording and the final transcript exist solely on your device (processed using your own storage and personal iCloud, if you have it set up that way). This applies equally to audio you record within the app and audio you import from your device. Our servers do not store any of your recordings. We do not make backups of your content. Any AI-generated summary you translate into another language is cached and stored locally on your device only, so you can view it again later without an additional AI request — this cached content is never stored on our servers.
3. Ephemeral AI Processing and Third-Party AI Providers
To generate the transcript, summary, and translations, your content is transmitted via secure, encrypted connections to specialized third-party AI service providers, with your explicit consent requested in the app before this happens for the first time. We limit what we share, and how it's handled, to protect your privacy:
- Data Minimization — we only send the specific audio or text data necessary to perform the requested AI task, nothing more.
- No Model Training — we have configured our integration with these providers so that your recordings and text are not used to train their AI models.
- Ephemeral Storage — for longer recordings, the audio may be temporarily divided into smaller segments so it can be processed more reliably; once the text is generated and sent back to your device, the temporary audio (or each segment) is immediately deleted from our servers.
- Equivalent Protection — our AI providers are bound by their own data protection agreements and terms of service, which we have reviewed to ensure they provide a level of protection consistent with this Privacy Policy.

4. Background Processing and Notifications
To help your analysis complete successfully even if you leave the app, iResumeMeet may continue uploading and processing your audio in the background, using Apple's standard background transfer system. We use local notifications to let you know when your analysis is complete; these notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any additional data collection.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
You have complete control over your information. You can request the complete deletion of your account from our servers at any time, which will delete your associated email address and your remaining minutes balance. As an exception, (a) purchase records may be retained in minimal form for the period required by applicable tax and accounting regulations, and (b) the non-identifying free-trial signal described in Section 1 may also be retained to prevent free-trial abuse — neither of which can be used to identify you or reconstruct your account.
